Diversified Real Estate Services, Inc. provides comprehensive revitalization plan to save and repurpose historic and non-historic buildings in urban and rural communities.
The adaptive reuse of these buildings will stimulate economic growth, create new jobs, and fulfill a general need in the community. Many historic buildings today are vacant and deteriorating. In addition, there are non-historic buildings in these same communities that are underutilized and vacant which also need to be revitalized. This comprehensive plan assists communities, real estate investors, and property owners in repurposing of these building to fill a need in the community for housing, retail, and office space with a primary focus on housing. The program includes not only repurposing of existing buildings but also the construction of new buildings as needed.
The plan will identify existing state and federal government incentives that are currently available for redevelopment projects to repurpose historic buildings and revitalize the community. Through creative private and public partnerships, communities and property owners can benefit from key tax incentives to revitalize their buildings and communities along with stimulating the local economy. These include federal and state historic tax credits, new market tax credits, low-income housing tax credits, opportunity zone, tax increment financing, state and local grants, and more.
