Many communities today contain vacant or underutilized buildings—both historic and non-historic—that no longer serve their original purpose but remain valuable community assets. Through strategic redevelopment planning, these properties can be repurposed to address local needs for housing, retail, office, and mixed-use development, with a particular emphasis on residential revitalization.
